Nancy O'Dell started her career in broadcasting by working as a reporter at WPDE-TV, Myrtle Beach South Carolina. Later, she was a morning reporter and anchor on WCBD TV. While in Charleston O'Dell's stories regarding the police's lenient approach towards DUI cases resulted in a State Law Enforcement Division investigation that led to state authorities re-issuing an even more strict directive on these cases. Ms. O'Dell was recognized by her colleagues at the Associated Press with the Best Report of the Year award for all media in South Carolina. In the years following her stay living in Charleston, O'Dell worked as anchor for NBC's Miami Station WTVJ-TV and as an investigative reporter. Then she became a part of Access Hollywood to work as the weekend and weekday correspondent. O'Dell anchors the main newscast at Access Hollywood. In addition, she contributes in NBC News Today and Dateline NBC. She was a reporter for events like The Oscars, The Emmys, The Grammys, and The Golden Globe Awards. Alongside co-hosting the Pre-ShowArrivals for The Emmys & The Golden Globes. She also hosts The Miss America Pageant as well as the Miss USA Pageant and Miss Universe.
